"We’re bringing out the fine details in the embroidered clothing: if you look closely, you can almost see individual stitches. We’re trying to mimic the properties of different kinds of materials. If it’s silk, is it a rougher, raw silk or a shinier, smoother silk? That’s going to give us a really rich look." — Mohit Kallianpur

I just want to point out how truly amazing these two characters are. In my opinion, they are among the strongest couples of Disney (well in movie history period). And here’s why I think so:
Let’s start with my girl Rapunzel. She is no doubt a strong, kick ass character but she is also one of the kindest and most caring. In this moment, she has just decided to give up the one thing she always wanted her entire life: her FREEDOM. She’s only had a taste of it, but she doesn’t care about that as long as her loved one is safe and alive. She is willing to give it all up without second thoughts. That is such a big deal.
Then of course Eugene, who was so selfish and vain at the beginning, is shown literally trading in his life for the one he loves. He is in lots of pain, can’t sit himself up, can hardly breathe or even open his eyes, and there’s an easy fix. He could be healed in an instant. But from the first few seconds of when he was stabbed, he BEGGED Rapunzel not to heal him. He couldn’t let her give up her freedom for him. For once he did not feel like his life was worthy. He saw someone else’s being more important.
These two just love each other so much. I can’t really think of anyone who beats them. They BOTH sacrificed so much for each other, even when there was an easy way out. They saved each other in the end.
